Who We Are
Veterans Legal Link was established in 2015 by project founder Dr Ola Olusanya to address the legal advice deficit in Wales. The project is run in partnership with Aberystwyth University and invites lawyers and students to assist veterans and their families in receiving free legal advice.

Ola is involved in various capacities with Veterans, including: As an Elected Board Member of the Ceredigion Armed Forces Community Covenant Strategic Board (CAFCCB); Principal Investigator (£10,000) Veterans Oral History Project (VOHP), a Heritage Lottery funded project; Member of the Governance & Steering Panel UK Veterans Research Hub; Member of the Governance Board of the Veterans and Families Institute, Anglia Ruskin University; Member Three Counties Advocacy Strategy Group, West Wales Mental Health Voluntary Sector Ex Service Personnel Network; Honorary Visiting Fellow at Anglia Ruskin's Veterans and Families Institute; Founding Member of the Veterans Education Training Evaluation Research and Audit Network. He developed the first live client based multidisciplinary clinical legal education module in the UK with a strong community service focus and a focus on supporting ex-Service personnel: The Law and Social Justice in Practice module https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/modules/deptfuture/?m=LA36620 and he developed a stress and life course framework for understanding risk factors for combat-related PTSD among Veterans: The Cumulative Stress Model (CSM).
